Georgian Style Sideboard / Buffet – Serpentine Front - Flame Mahogany – Melbourne Made

A magnificent example of Georgian style sideboards, this Melbourne made piece by Decro in North Coburg, I think circa 1940’s – 1950’s, is further enhanced by its warm golden colour tones and wood grain features.

It features; solid mahogany and flame mahogany veneer construction, contrasting timber edge top with reeded edge, flowing serpentine shape, two cabinet doors with false drawer fronts, two central hand-cut dovetail joined drawers; the top one is felt-lined and the bottom one is a ‘secret’ drawer, complete set matching Florentine bronze ring handles with beautiful pressed central urn with rams head handles, six ring turned, turned and reeded legs and cylindrical feet.
