A magnificent c1820s Biedermeier / Louis Philippe (1815 – 1848) chest of drawers, capturing the design of the era beautifully. Pieces of the period comprised of weighty forms, smoothly polished surfaces, restrained decoration and the use of materials with characteristic patterns, to ensure the grain of the wood was showcased in the best possible way … sure achieved that with this piece!

👉 Condition overview; all of the drawers run seamlessly and all lock on this lovely chest of drawers. It displays general wear consistent with use and age, including marks to the top and knocks to the base. Some small repairs have been made to the veneer over the years
