A superb bookshelf, it was made in Melbourne by Fred Meyer & Co.  He and his company are made mention of in The Argus newspapers from the 1930’s onwards.  He was noted as being one of Melbourne’s earlier furniture manufacturers.  It features;

Condition overview; in good condition, relative to its age, it is a very solid and sturdy piece.  As to be expected on a piece of this vintage, it displays general wear, knock and surface marks (particularly to the very top … unless you are very tall or have a step ladder – it can’t be seen!)

Dimensions; 1525mm wide x 255mm deep x 1650mm high.  Shelf height clearances from top to bottom; 230mm, 230mm, 225mm, 255mm, 255mm, 275mm.  Internal depth; 250mm deep.
