A gorgeous slim-line pair, they were made by B Maggs & Co, in Bristol England.  The company was established in 1850 in Bristol.  Initially they specialised in producing iron and brass bedheads, however they went on to become furniture manufacturers and retailers, later evolving to become a large department store at 70-72 Queens Road, Bristol. The store traded into the 1970s.  They feature;

• 2 fixed height level timber shelves

Condition overview; in good condition, relative to their age, they are both solid and sturdy pieces.  As to be expected on pieces of this vintage, they display a number of general wear, knock and surface marks.  One has had a repair made to the right-hand side of the gallery on the top.

Dimensions; 310mm wide x 200mm deep x 1235mm high.  To top, excluding gallery; 1090mm high.  Shelf height clearances from top to bottom; 315mm, 310mm, 310mm.  Internal depth; 190mm deep.
