This fabulous piece was made by Melbourne based Burgess Furniture, who were highly regarded for producing quality, beautifully crafted furniture.  Burgess commenced business in Melbourne in 1869, moved from Collingwood to Preston in 1958 and sadly, due to economic pressures closed their doors in 2005. Burgess Furniture today is still a brand synonymous with quality, hence the ongoing popularity of their pieces.  It features;

• 3 door cabinet
• 3 internal dovetail-joined drawers, all with felt-lined bases
• shaped & contoured features to the doors
• 2 fully height adjustable shelves (removable)
• tapered & splayed legs
• brass capped feet

Condition overview; in good condition, relative to its age, the doors and drawers all work well.  As expected on a used piece of this vintage, it displays general wear (including age-related wear to the brass capped feet), knock and surface marks (including to the top where another section may have sat at one point).
