A magnificent sideboard, Biedermeier furniture spans from 1815 – 1848.  This particular piece is in one of the many styles of Biedermeier design of its era; such pieces comprised of weighty forms, smoothly polished surfaces, restrained decoration and the use of materials with characteristic patterns, to ensure the grain of the wood was showcased in the best possible way.

Condition overview; in good condition it is a very solid, sturdy and well-made piece.  All of the drawers work well.  As expected on a used piece of this age it displays general wear marks and knocks but nothing major to note.
