This impressive piece, offering good storage capacity, is in two sections; the trunk lifts off the stand and can be used separately if desired.  It features;

• mahogany timber (possibly Indonesian) construction

• lift top lid

• 2 dovetail-joined drawers

• shaped apron to the base

• escutcheon, 1 lock, 1 key

• brass style bail handles

• turned legs

• 2 sections for easy transporting

Condition overview; in fair to good condition, it is a very solid and sturdy piece.  The lift lid and lock work well.  As expected on a well-used piece, it displays numerous general wear, tear, knock (particularly to the edge of the top and to the top edge of the stand) and surface marks and the finish is quite inconsistent in areas.  In addition, the two right-hand side legs have slight cracks; however these do not affect the structural integrity of the piece.
