This superb chest of drawers is a fine example of George III furniture (1714-1830/37).  This magnificent piece features;

• 10 hand-cut dovetail joined drawers
• 10 locks, 1 key (key locks bottom 5 drawers only)
• complete brass handles depicting faces
• breakfront design
• distinctive Georgian design bracket feet
• it is in one piece, therefore the top cannot be separated from the base

Condition overview; in good condition, relative to its age, it is a very solid piece and all of the drawers work well.  As expected on a piece of this vintage, it displays general wear, knock (including to the right of the centre top large drawer).  Over time, we believe repairs have been made to the veneer in places, including to the top protruding edge of the base drawers) however these do not detract from the piece.
