A wonderful example of cutlery made by S. Samran Thailand Co. Ltd, the company was founded by Samran Poosawad in 1921. All of the pieces produced and stamped ‘S Samran’ are hand-made.
The cutlery set was sold by Chow’s Jewelry, Hankow Rd, Kowloon, Hong Kong. The company was established in 1948 and continue to be distributors of precious and semi-precious jewellery (from Italy & Thailand). We believe this set was bought in the 1970’s in Hong Kong. The set comes with a numbered legend, naming the individual pieces and stamped with Chow’s Jewelry. We believe this pamphlet represents a whole range; therefore this cutlery set only forms part of what is on the pamphlet.
Please note, only the cutlery set is included in this sale. The carved cutlery canteen/cabinet is currently listed for sale, so please view in our other items. The cabinet was custom made, and we were told, to specifically house this cutlery set, hence the same Goddess on the cutlery set is featured heavily in the cabinet.
