A beautifully designed, well-proportioned library bookcase, it was made in Australia by H.A Branchflower Furniture Manufacturers, Melbourne.  H.A. Branchflower took over the business from his Father, who came to Melbourne and started the business in the late 1800’s.  The factory in Guildford Lane in Melbourne, was destroyed by fire in 1927 and subsequently re-built.  They specialised in modern and period furniture design and production.
