This superb, hand-crafted piece was made in Melbourne by Roy Cashmore who was based in Little Collins St, Melbourne.  At the time, the centre of Melbourne was the hub of a roaring furniture trade, with hundreds of furniture makers manufacturing and trading highly fashionable furniture of the era.  It features;

Condition overview; in good condition, it is a very solid, sturdy, beautifully crafted piece.  The doors, drawers and locks work well.  As expected on a used piece, it displays general wear, knock and surface marks.  In addition, there are two small plugged holes on the top, where a top section must have sat at some point.

Dimensions; 1525mm wide x 500mm deep x 895mm high.  Shelf height clearances from top to bottom; 185mm, 225mm.  Internal cabinet depth; 430mm deep.
