This fabulous desk was made by Melbourne based Eastgate Prestige Furniture.  The Company was established in the early 1920’s by Harold Eastgate and continues to be a highly regarded manufacturer of quality furniture to this day. It features;

Condition overview; in good condition, relative to its age, it is a solid, sturdy and well-made piece and all of the drawers work well.  As expected on a used piece of this vintage, it displays general wear, tear, knock surface marks (particularly to the back left-hand side corner of the top) and some inconsistency to the finish.

Dimensions; 1205mm wide x 595mm deep x 775mm high. Knee hole; 610mm high (to underside of desk) x 550mm wide.
