A fabulous piece, it is finished on the back as well, therefore it is designed to be placed anywhere in a room, not just limited to being against a wall. We believe it to be made by Latchford & Sons in Melbourne (1953 – 1986). The Company was a licensee for Jens Risom (a world renown Danish born designer) and Hans Knoll designed furniture. Even though it has all the hallmarks of Latchford design, there are no identifying makers marks on it, therefore we cannot say that it is definitively by Latchford. Condition overview; in good condition, relative to its age, it is a quality made, solid and sturdy piece and all of the drawers work well. As to be expected on a piece of this vintage, it displays general wear, knock and surface marks.
