This superb sideboard was made by A Younger Ltd; they were a British furniture manufacturer who were one of the leading furniture designers of the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. The furniture was high quality and aimed at the high end of the market.  They pioneered the use of teak in furniture, which was new to Britain, and introduced Scandinavian styles into contemporary furnishing. The style they developed and the use of teak was widely imitated.

  Condition overview; in good condition relative to its age, it is a beautifully crafted, solid and sturdy piece.  The doors and drawers all work well.  As expected on a used piece of this vintage, it displays general wear, knock (including to the front right-hand side edge) and surface marks but nothing major to note.
